Who am I?

Hey, I'm Mitt—a Southern California native who's been sketching since the days surfing was just a hobby. I earned my MFA from Claremont Graduate School and my BFA from Cal State Long Beach, with a few detours at the University of Hawaii at Hilo and Westside Santa Cruz.

My journey has been anything but linear. I’ve taken on just about every role you can think of—Dad, roofer, truck driver, airbrusher, scenic artist, and even hairdresser—each experience adding a layer to how I see the world and tell stories. Teaching at Otis College of Art & Design and coaching the Malibu High surf team kept me grounded in the creative community, blending my love of art and surf culture. I’ve worked closely with writers, directors, and fellow artists, believing that the best stories are told when you’re willing to get your hands dirty and collaborate.

These days, I'm all about turning your ideas into dynamic visual stories, frame by frame, with a no-nonsense approach that cuts to the heart of the narrative. When I’m not at the drawing board, you’ll find me in the ocean.

First we board, then we board.
